Our Congress Partners, are helping to ensure the Congress will be memorable occasion. The Partners meet regularly with the Congress Organisers to discuss the planning and promotion of the Congress. In addition we have a group of Competition Supporters that are promoting New Zealand’s Best Practice Competition – which is an important part of the Congress.
Asian Association of Management Organisations (AAMO)
AMO is a partnership of National Management Organisations (NMO) in the Asian Region whose purpose is to share and actively leverage resources to enhance the achievement of their respective missions. AAMO is an independent, non-political and not-for-profit Association of NMOs, which promotes, facilitates and supports the development of professional management in the Asia Pacific Region. The current 17 members of AAMO include Australia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mongolian, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Taiwan.
Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development
Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) is an Auckland Council controlled organisation established to lift Auckland’s economic well-being and enhance the region’s performance as the New Zealand economy’s growth engine. It aims to develop tourism, deliver major events and improve the economic performance of the region and international awareness of Auckland as a desirable place to visit, live, work invest and do business. ATEED champions a co-ordinated approach to all aspects of business sector development across Auckland, working with central government and private sector organisations to maximise benefits for the region.
Asia Network for Quality (ANQ)
Asian Network for Quality (ANQ) consists of non-profit organizations in Asia that seek to improve quality of human life by contributing to the progress of science and technology; and to the development of industry through promotional activities for the research and development of philosophy, theory, methodology and application in the field of quality and quality management. ANQ provides a platform and the opportunity for enhanced mutual sharing and learning of the knowledge and experiences obtained through the research and development and practices in quality performed by the member organizations. The New Zealand Organisation for Quality represent New Zealand in the ANQ.
Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO)
The APQO was founded and organized by National Quality Organizations in Asian and Pacific Rim countries including the American Society for Quality and was incorporated in the Philippines in 1985. It is a non-profit organization formed to be a primary mover for quality and continuous improvement for goods and services and quality of life in the Asia Pacific Region. APQO has several hundred National Quality Organizations (Core members), Corporate members, and Individual members. The New Zealand Organisation for Quality represent New Zealand in the APQO.
BPIR.com Limited
The BPIR.com is an internet-based benchmarking and best practice information and networking service. It contains a huge amount of information to help individuals in their professional development and undertake successful improvement projects. The BPIR contains 1,000’s of benchmarks, performance measures, best practice case studies, self-assessment tools and provides over a 1,000,000 articles on the theme of performance improvement across all functional areas, industries and covering most countries. All the information is categorized by the criteria of business excellence models (e.g. Baldrige and EFQM) – thus helping organizations to quickly get on the track to excellence! The resource was developed by the Centre for Organisational Excellence Research, Massey University and spun out of the University to become BPIR.com Limited in 2006. The BPIR.com has over 8,000 members worldwide. Members not only have access to the resource but also a monthly newsletter and 8 Best Practice Reports per annum.
BusinessNZ
BusinessNZ is New Zealand’s largest business advocacy body, representing the majority of New Zealand private sector companies as members or affiliates.
BusinessNZ divisions cover business interests across a wide range of sectors including the Major Companies Group, ExportNZ, ManufacturingNZ, the Sustainable Business Council and Buy NZ Made.
BusinessNZ champions policies leading to:

Economic Development Agencies New Zealand (EDANZ)
EDANZ supports, coordinates and advocates for economic development agencies (EDAs) throughout New Zealand. EDAs work with their local authorities to deliver programmes in the regions.
In partnership with local and also central government, EDANZ can tap into a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise in the economic development field, helping to further New Zealand’s economic performance.
EDANZ is organised as 14 key regional groups at the governance level to provide national coverage.
Global Benchmarking Network (GBN)
Benchmarking, learning from the experience of others, is a powerful method for breakthrough thinking, innovation, improvement and for delivering exceptional bottom-line results. It is one of the most popular and effective tools used for organisational success. The Global Benchmarking Network (GBN) since 1994 has played a key part in raising the awareness and use of benchmarking worldwide. The GBN comprises of 25 benchmarking centres in 21 countries. Every year the GBN organises an International Benchmarking Conference. Conferences have previously been held in Bahrain, Budapest, Dubai, Moscow and Kuwait. In 2012 the conference will be incorporated into the World Business Capability Congress in New Zealand. Prior to the conference the GBN members will have a 2-day Annual General Meeting. New Zealand’s GBN representatives are the Centre for Organisational Excellence Research.

Institute of Management Consultants New Zealand (IMCNZ)
IMC New Zealand is a founding member of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (“ICMCI”), an organization that spans 50 plus countries and has in excess of 25,000 members worldwide. IMC members who hold the Certified Management Consultant accreditation are able to practice in ICMCI member countries without further assessment, opening business opportunities around the world.
Kea New Zealand

The purpose of MBIE is to be a catalyst for a high-performing economy to ensure New Zealand’s lasting prosperity and wellbeing. We play a central role in shaping and delivering a strong New Zealand economy. We develop and deliver policy, services, advice and regulation to support business growth and the prosperity and wellbeing of all New Zealanders. MBIE integrates the functions of four former agencies – the Department of Building and Housing, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Department of Labour and the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT)
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is responsible for promoting and protecting New Zealand’s interests internationally.
New Zealand Institute of Management (NZIM)
The New Zealand Institute of Management (NZIM) is New Zealand’s largest professional management organisation and is very representative of management and employers comprising of a large number of individual and corporate members. The corporate members tend to be large companies and assuming each employs an average of 10 managers this would bring the total membership to around 19,000 practising managers. NZIM represents the interests of these practising managers and has an extensive coverage of both the public and private sectors. The NZIM set the standards for much of the management education and training in NZ. A wide range of educational institutions offer NZIM qualifications, and its regional offices are important providers of management training, particularly short courses.
The University of Auckland Business School
The University of Auckland is New Zealand’s largest and most prestigious research-led university. Based in the heart of the country’s most culturally diverse city, it conducts teaching and research across eight faculties and two large-scale research institutes.
